Kamloops Weekend

And 3,155 kilometres west of Toronto lies Kamloops where the Renegades youth and cadet teams spent a busy weekend, playing a bunch of games with Fraser Valley. Courtesy of Brooke’s busy thumbs comes a report on the cadet girls’ weekend.

It was a fun-filled weekend.... Of a lot of polo that is! The cadet girls played 4 games against Fraser Valley.

Game 1: After the third period the Renegades were winning 8-6. Valley won the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough, as the Renegades took the win.

Game 2: with hard work and good teamwork, the Renegades had com- plete control the whole game and finished with a 9-4 win.

Game 3: after a late-night food run and an early-morning wake-up, the girls had a very slow start Sunday morning. Tired bodies and unfocused mindsets do not mix well. With our first loss of the weekend (7-6) the girls didn't seem to feel so great.....

Game 4: after a team chat, the girls are now refocused and ready to show everyone how it's really done. The girls dominated and put up a score of 5-2 within 10 minutes. We then did some powerplay and again..... domi- nation! A well-played last session with Valley.

As most of the cadets were playing youth, there was a lot of water polo to be had, and was a very productive weekend!

Well done ladies!
